A donkey blanket from the Herki nomads, Hakkari mountains in south-east Turkey. Remark the striking asymmetry. The striped, left part is woven with undyed wool, the right part shows the typical Herki beetle(?)-like motifs. 19th century. 96 x 76 cm.
