Exclusive and rare necklace of ‘Bactrian’ beads, mainly banded agates, and some carnelians, mounted on a double metal thread and having a recent Indian S-shaped clasp. Specially the large flat oval shaped beads are known from the excavations at Gonur Tepe (Margiana). Composed of 5 large flat beads, 8 smaller flat beads and lots of smaller mixed beads. BMAC Period, 2500-2000 BC
Well preserved, almost no encrustation that hides the colours. The largest stone on the bottom has a crack (see pics), and some of the flat beads have some minor chips. Length 55 cm; largest bead 70,5 x 47 x 13 mm. Weight 231 g.
