A fragmented (the two neck strips are missing) horse cover from the Shahsavan tribe, Caucasus or north-western Iran. Made in verneh technique, and woven in two parts that have been joined together.
Entirely wool, some wearing, ethnographically interesting collector's item. 72 x 136cm. Late 19th century.
