A sublime Ouzbek ceremonial kaftan, brocaded in silver & gold thread on crimson silk velvet, the inside lined with marvellous silk ikat in 6 colours. Regarding it's age, very well preserved, 2 repairs under the armpits (restitching) and a card-weaving border in purple that was added (or replaced) later. Court of Bochara, late 19th century.
