A carinated bowl on a low stand ring. Only the shoulder is decorated, painted in red and brown on a buff wash that covers the pale orange shard. It shows a metope frieze, containing 3 panels with the ‘water motif’ and 2 panels with the ‘sigma motif’ (proto-Indus script?). Those motifs are typical for the site of Nal in Beluchistan. Indus Valley Civilization, 3200-2500 BC.

The vessel has been broken and was repaired (see pics). Height 14,2 cm, diameter body 24,6 cm, diameter top 14,5 cm, diameter base 10,2 cm. Weight: 1234 g.
